About me

I was honored to be elected as the National Voluntary Director of the Conservative Policy Forum (CPF) in March 2022. Alongside this role, I have been serving as a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist for over two decades, running an independent clinical practice. Throughout my career, I've been passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others.

In addition to my work in speech therapy, I am also a Councillor for Warwickshire County Council, where my priorities lie in education, creating safer roads in the area, as well as working closely with our Safer Neighbourhood Team. As a Councillor on Stratford District Council until 2023, I had the privilege of chairing the Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

Having stood as a candidate in the 2019 general election, I am deeply committed to bringing positive change and progress through political engagement. During my tenure as National Voluntary Director of the CPF, I am proud to have seen a significant increase in membership, with over 11.5 thousand members now part of our community.

To enhance our campaigning efforts, I introduced "Winning Wednesdays Connect Calling." Furthermore, I've ensured that CPF maintains a robust online presence through "Mega Mondays," fostering a nationwide online CPF group focused on government consultation papers.

One of the most rewarding experiences has been running the "Tell No 10" grassroots consultation in collaboration with CWO, which gathered valuable insights on what women want to see in the next manifesto. Many of these ideas have already found their way into legislation, including initiatives such as Family hubs, careers for carers, and lifelong learning.

Moreover, I organized successful sessions at Party Conference in Birmingham, where we discussed topics such as "What the youth want," "Levelling up for women," and "Ideas for the next manifesto." The "Rural Voices" session served as a precursor to the impactful brainstorming initiative.

In my capacity as a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist, I offer expert witness services for Education and medical negligence tribunals, achieving a 100% success rate. Additionally, I provide specialized care for professional voice users, and I take pride in having designed the Vocal Protection Program for the renowned show, Matilda the Musical, when it first began. Thousands of children have benefited from this program over the years.

I am thrilled to be on this journey, and I am dedicated to continuing my work to bring about positive change both in the field of speech therapy and within the political arena. Thank you for visiting my website, and I look forward to engaging with you as we work together for a better future.
